According to this forum, I see that when using Vista & Internet Explorer 7.0, you cannot create, reply, or forward E-Mails using Domino Web Access (DWA). The body of the message is unavailable for editing.
Does 7.0.2 Fix Pack 1 solve the problem? I don’t want to go through the upgrade headache if the Fix Pack doesn’t provide a solution.
I don’t need someone to reply and remind me that Domino doesn’t officially support Vista. That’s called denial and doesn’t help. I see that Domino versions 7.0.3, 6.5.6, and 8.0 will support Vista, but those releases won’t be available for months.
I found that the Advanced tab …Security configuration of disabling “native XMLHTTP support” fixes the problem in I.E. 7 under XP, but not Vista.
Can anyone tell me definitively if 7.0.2 Fix Pack 1 fixes DWA in Vista Internet Explorer 7 ?

I can’t confirm this error. I’ve created a mail (even with attachment) via DWA under Vista & IE7 yesterday evening… worked just fine. The server is running 7.0.2 (still without FP1) under SuSE 9.3…
Subject: Workaround - Vista, IE 7 & DWA - Does 7.0.2 FP1 Solve the problem?
We are using the 6.5 DWA mail template. (inotes6.ntf)
It is a reproduceable bug. I have found the workaround is to change the E-Mail so that it composes (or replies) in plain text format, and not Rich Text format.

Vista not being supported…How is this “denial”? It is fact. IE7 under XP will work. But if you have to bleeding edge then…you have to put up with the things that are going to get broken. why anyone would want to be using Vista at this point in time is beyond me. With Vista, one should wait until the first service pack comes out to fix all the bugs. Not to mention lack of driver support for legacy hardware and apps. My suggestion would be to try Firefox or Opera. I cannot say if they work with Vista as I am not running Vista yet. And don’t plan to for quite awhile. Good Luck.
