every now and then i will be watching my firebox monitor and will see a large amount of ping requests to port 135. these requests start at a particular ip and then sequentially run up. well the interesting part is that i can shut down my domino service and the pings will stop. this gives me the impression that a machine that is replicating is trying to infect other machines on my network. anyway i have run every virus scan i can think of and have found nothing. on the clients as well as my server. if anyone has run across anything like this and has any suggestions please let me know. thanks.

This sounds like a Denial Of Service attack. In more recent versions of Server (Win2k) Microsft has released patches for these. I don’t know about NT. Maybe you need to see if there are patches, or maybe you just want to upgrade to Win2k or Win2003 server and be done with it.
