Subject: $$ViewTemplateDefault

Hi Bob,

we cannot hold 2 $$ViewTemplateDefault form in a db but you can have 2 $$ViewTemplateDefault forms in an application.

$$ViewTemplateDefault is meant to display all the views which do not have any form associated to display in web.

Hi

if i will give the name as $$ViewTemplateDefault1 or $$ViewTemplateDefault2 and so on…

it is possible?

thanks

Subject: RE: $$ViewTemplateDefault

We cannot alter “$$ViewTemplateDefault” to a different name. So we cannot use $$ViewTemplateDefault1…2…3 etc…

Its something that is already defined with that name. So cannot be changed.

You can use differerent $$ViewTemplates for different forms, use names like:

$$ViewTemplate for Form1

If you want more than one form associated with the same template, name the form:

$$ViewTemplate for Form1 | $$ViewTemplate for Form2 | $$View… etc.

Then the actual $$ViewTemplateDefault will be used for views which don’t have a template defined.

No, in every system there is only 1 default …

I think, I know what you wanna do :

you have 5 views who will be displayed using default1

you have 6 views who will be displayed using default2

you have 3 views who will be displayed using default3 ???

right ?

  1. rename your views like 1-view1, 1-view2, …1-view5, 2-view1, 2-view2, … , 2-view6, 3-view1, …

  2. make a $$ViewTemplateDefault who will be nearly empty. In this view, use a “subform based on a formula”. Use field $$viewtitle to compute the subform

  3. make subforms for each “default” form …
