Hi,
We are migrating our applications from R5 to R7 server.
In one of our applications, the $$ViewTemplate has a graphic. On top of that the form fields were mentioned. But that graphic was not visible in the R5 while viewing in web. But now after migrating, the web is having the background of the default view.
I want to know what could be the reason for this. Any vesion problem?
Please suggest.
Thanks a lottt…

hi**
first************** asterisks in the title are annoying
second: please described as good as you can what you are trying to do and would you expect as result.
otherwise help is not possible.
you have a $$viewtemplate, starting with form fields and ending with a graphic (in a field? as picture? as resource?)
and now opening the view in the web, you see this graphic as background image???
did you try to remove the image and than previewing in web?

… or using CSS to set a background-color for the view’s table?
(I’ll second the asterisks thing – particularly because there are no spaces, making a search for the first word in the subject difficult.)

Hi Stan and Alex,
Thanks for your feedback on my title… ;)…
I dint intend to put the asterisks… i had this typed in a notepad and i used the asterisks to separate out the different doubts , I had… And while copying, this too came along with the title… Sorry for that…
Now coming back to my problem:
As i said, we are migrating the applications from R5 to R7. Both are in the windows server.
These applications were working perfectly fine in the R5 server. But now, when the same links are opened in R7, they are causing problems:
- There is a Graphic (Resource) in the “$$ViewTemplate”. When this was present in R5, this was not being shown when previewed in web. But in R7, this graphic is being shown. What could be the reason?
I know that by clicking on Remove from “Graphic or Resource” in the fourth tab of the form properties will resolve this, but i want to know why this Resource is not shown in R5 but in R7?
- Similarly, the views have alternate rows to be selected in a different colour. This does not appear in R5 but in R7, we can see alternate colour for the rows in the view. What could be the reason??

Both of these were Notes-only features in R5 – they were included in Domino 6 by popular demand.

Hi Stan,
For my 2nd doubt:
“Similarly, the views have alternate rows to be selected in a different colour. This does not appear in R5 but in R7, we can see alternate colour for the rows in the view. What could be the reason??”
I had tried removing the alternate colours for the different row in R7, but still no luck… :(… the colours are still appearing.
Now i change the alternate rows and just do a ‘preview in web’, this will work fine. But i use my application and open one of the views, it will still show the alternate rows in diff colour…
please …please help me out
