I have a few views missing in some of my databases. I dont even see them in the notes designer. Can anybody tell me what could have happened?

Do you have templates that these databases are based on? You could do a refresh design to get the views back. What happened to them is anyone’s guess really.

Tony, the most likely causes for view disapearance is related to security. If you have set your views to be read-restricted (in the view property security tab) and set them to specific group names or even specific names, and these changed, the view will be lost to all except the server.
This is also true if the view is set to read-restrict to roles, and you renamed or removed the role, or removed yourself from the role. The view doesn’t only disapear in the client, it will also be gone from the designers. Give yourself back the same role to gain back access to that view, or log directly from the server to see it again.
If it is not that, then the view might truly be gone, for instance, if onother designer, or a user with edit access and shared folder/view priviledge did erease it.
