I’ve an application database in the server, and the employees access the database, thru’ different environments. They access the application using the normal pc, running windows 98 and also thru’ mac pc. The application works perfectly in both of them. But what is the problem is the people using the normal pc are not able to view the records, that have been saved by the people using the mac and vice-versa. But all the validations are intact and are enabled in both the cases, irrespective of the pc’s under use. For example, if there is a time validation which is active and if a person who has already keyed in a record in the nomal pc for the time frame 0930 - 1030 am and if another person tries to save another record using the mac pc in the same time frame, then there is a pop message that has been coded and which says there cannot be more then one record in the same time frame. Hope you can understand the problem that is being faced. Is there a solution to this? Or is there a reasoning, to explain the cause of this? Plz help.
