View widget in sidebar opening with navigator after restart

I’m setting up a view widget in the Notes Client sidebar using Alan Lepofsky’s excellent instructions: http://www.alanlepofsky.net/alepofsky/alanblog.nsf/dx/add-a-notes-view-to-the-sidebar-part-2

The problem I’m having is that if I check the box “Do not display the view’s navigator” this works fine when I first add the widget but when I shut down the Notes client and restart it the widget displays with the navigator showing.

Is there any way of forcing the navigator to not show?

I had the same issue, and vaguely remember that you might have to append viewnavigator=none or something similar at the end of the view URL? Looking for my notes… will post again if I find them.

It works ‘most’ of the time. Every once in awhile it still opens the full navigator.
