I am trying to figure out a way to create a view that lists all the views in a particular db and also lists what roles are applicable for that view. Is that even possible?

There are ways to display Design elements in views. (Something to do with selecting on their FLAGS values … a search should find the details - I’ve never needed to do that.)
I don’t understand how Roles come into this. Have you got a Readers field on the view design set to role values ? If so, that would be in the $Readers field, and you perhaps a column could display that. It not, please clarify how Roles come into this.

We at Ytria just released an update of our designPropEZ ( http://www.ytria.com/designPropEZ ) tool this week, and I believe the free ‘Lite’ version will let you do what you’re looking to do.
If you open the database in question, select all the views and click the “Audit” button–you’ll see a grid populated with information related to all the views, including their Readers (note: if you already have an old version installed you’ll need to update it–we just added the ability to see Readers).
