i can use view, show, page source on inbound (mime) mesages in mail.box, but if that message has an attachment then nothing happens, the source does not appear?

i haven’t seen or heard of this problem, so i don’t know what’s happening, but more information might be helpful.
first, does this always happen for every message which has an attachment? and when 'nothing happens", what actually happens? (-8 i assume that the Page Source choice on the Show menu is not greyed out … but does nothing at all happen when you click ‘Page Source’ or does another empty window open, or …?
are the messages definitely mme format messages? bring up the Doc Properties dialog and click on the second tab from the left --the ‘Fields’ tab-- and highlight one of the ‘Body’ items in the left hand window pane. if the message is in mime format, the ‘Data Type’ shown in the right hand window pane will be ‘MIME Part’; ‘Rich text’ otherwise… of course if the message is Rich text then the Page Source choice should be greyed out, but that would certainly be Interesting…
