I have a “Contact” form with a unique client id. I also have a “Product” form (response) that gets generated from the contact form using inheritance. The client id gets passed to the Product form. On each Contact record, I would like to embed a view showing the Products associated with each Contact (the common link is the unique client id). What would be the best formula to compare the two? I was thinking of something similar to SELECT (Form=“Contact”) & (Form=“Product” & ClientId=ClientId)

Ryan,
That won’t work. You can do something like this, however:
SELECT Form = “Contact” | @DocDescendants

If I understand you correctly it’s even easier than that. If you make the embedded view categorised on 1st column by ClientID you can use the ‘display single category’ option in the embedded view on the contact form, with the selection formula of ClientID.
Hope this make sense

Thanks James and Rapheal. However, James, I followed this and it worked expect I obtain all the Client ID’s in the view. I want just the Client ID whom is assoicated with the product. Perhaps my formula in the display single category needs adjustment. However, I read @Command syntax cannot be used in the display single category formula window.

The single category formula should be the field name of the field on the form that contains the value in the categorized column. So if on your contact form, the field is called clientID, your view should have the first column categorized by clientID and contain all product documents. Then the single category formula is simply “clientID”.
