We have a central contacts directory which lists department contacts and is cascaded on our mail server.
As part of this I’d like to restrict people shown in the type ahead to only those with a valid internet mail address. Is there a straight forward way to do this?
My question appears to be identical to the one below which remains unanswered. Any help would be appreciated.

On further investigation I’ve found that modifying the view selection formula of the hidden view ($PeopleGroupsFlat) changes the choices available in the people selection dialog. I haven’t verified this for type ahead yet however.
I will modify this view to ensure that the user have an valid INET address before being allowed to be selected in the mail interface.

Type ahead will still autocomplete this name even though it does not show in the address dialog - can anyone tell me how to prevent this name being avaialble for autocomplete.
