View Property: Collapse All When Database is First Open

I’m don’t understand the view property: Collapse All When Database is First Open.

I would have expected when I opened a view the first time when entering the database … It would be collapsed.

Instead what I’ve found it will open collapsed if the “cursor” is on the very first category when I exit the database. But if the cursor is on any other document or category, then the view is NOT collapsed when I enter.

I ended up putting in a @command( [ViewCollapseAll] ) in the View PostOpen event. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing some basic point?

That’s the right thing to do ( @command( [ViewCollapseAll] ) in the View’s PostOpen event), if you want the view always to display collapsed categories.
