Morning,
I have been asked to create a database that does not have a navigator of any type. Instead they want one main view to open up only without a navigator.
This works fine. I placed the view in a Frameset with one frame and Placed the view name in the value area.
Now, they would like a second view. However, they want to use the View/Go To/ and select the “new view” from the list method. When the view opens it is not to show any navigator.
That they can also do, however when this view opens up it opens with the left side “system navigator”. That is a notes generated navigator. They do not want this navigator to come up. Instead they again want only the view to show.
I have also been instructed not to place a button on the tool bar to open the view in that method.
What I tried:
I put the “new view” in a frameset similar to the main view.
I placed the following in the Post Open command of the “New view”:
@command([openframeset]);“frameset name”)
This would open the view then the frame set I placed the view in.
the following in the Query Open command of the “New view”:
@command([CloseWindow])
This closed the view. Closed the main frameset and left the frameset with the “New” view open.
This works fine on my machine, however errors would occur and shut down others computers. So I removed the code.
So, How can I open that second view (or frameset) by going through the View/Go To method, without showing any navigator on the left hand side?
Thanks for any help.
