View FTsearch for date field Not Working

Hi all,

I am trying to do a View.FTSearch. Its not working.I have given the code below

Dim str1 as string

str1 ="FIELD InvFromDate = "+uidoc.FieldGetText(“InvFromDate”)

Dim j As Long

j = FolderView.FTSearch (str1,0)

j is always returning 0.

where the two fields - InvFromDate & InvToDate are date fields in the format mm/dd/yyy

The view is properly categorized by date and when i use view entry collection and prompt the count its properly showing the count like for eg :

key = uidoc.Fieldgettext(“InvFromDate”)

Dim vc As NotesViewEntryCollection

Set vc = Folderview.GetAllEntriesByKey(key)

Msgbox vc.Count

Wat might be the possible reason for the strange result any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

sorry for my english…FTSearch returned 0, becauce not found string value str1 in fields any doc in view

for example, InvFromDate field has value 12/12/2006 and you create error query str1 ="FIELD InvFromDate = "+uidoc.FieldGetText(“InvFromDate”)

in fact you search str1 = “FIELD InvFromDate = 12/12/2006”,

I think, you do not have any docs with InvFromDate field, which has value “FIELD InvFromDate = 12/12/2006”…
