View formula returns more than expected

I have a view with a formula of

Select Form = “myForm” & status = “Active”

This view returns all of those documents but it also includes a few documents that have “active, inactive” stored in the status field. This is not my database, but I take care of it now, so I don’t know the history, but…I checked and you can only add one value to the field, so I assume that at one point you could select more than one value. The documents that have 2 values in that field are identified as text lists, but most of the documents identify that field as text. But even so, I don’t understand why those documents are returned. I said equal to not contains. Any ideas?

Thanks

Subject: view formula returns more than expected

IN the case of the multiple value text list. The select statement is evaluating to true because the multiple values are treated like an or.

You could add an @Implode to status if you don’t want that to happen:

Select Form=“myForm” & @Implode(status;“,”)=“Active”
