View Error before Authentication?

I have a database, which has access protection (i.e. Anonymous = No Access). The database opens in a Navigator, but in order to access all the elements on that “page”, the user has to login.

However, if I open the database without specifying the view I want to open (e.g. www.test.com/database.nsf), I get an error saying “A view of that name cannot be found…” rather than the login form (which itself works fine, I have tested that).

If I open the database as www.test.com/database.nsf/viewname?openview, I get the login form and upon successful authentication get forwarded to the relevant view.

Any thoughts?

If my approach is wrong, how (what page / navigator etc.) should the database open (i.e. what launch parameter would I ideally set in the database properties)?

Thank you.

Check your Database Launch Property.

The launch property (for the web) are to use the Navigator with the name “DbHome”. - That is just an empty page. But I have created an additional form “$$NavigatorTemplate for DbHome”, which is exactly the same form as another one I have (which works fine).
