A 5.x user had the unfortunate habit of marking documents for deletion, then at the end of the week deleting them all. After upgrading to 6.5.2 on Friday, they lost all the deletion icons from the week(~900). Is there any way to create a view that shows the documents that were marked for deletion?:-jmw

were marked for deletion. Perhaps the user needs to change his ‘deletion’ process and not hold you responsible for bad habits!

Notes is now set up to delete anything older than 2 days by default, so I am assuming when they were upgraded all but 2 days were left. There is no more ‘mark for deletion’, they go into the trash bin for two days, and then get removed. The trash bin is the ‘flagged for removal’ folder, if you will. You can update the amount of hours to keep deleted emails in the mail preferences under tools.

Thanks Greg, The problem is the user says that all the emails are still there. I can’t really refute that, so I was looking for a way to show the doc’s(or not):-jmw

try adding a view of type “Shared, contains deleted documents”, like the ($SoftDeletions) view in the mail template

Thanks Bob, I tried that and it created a view with 60 doc’s some two years old. The user rejected it saying hundreds were deleted in the last week alone. I wasn’t 100% sure of it’s results to argue back, but if that’s the answer…:-jmw

It was a long shot. The challenge is that the documents themselves don’t know whether they have been marked for deletion. That is, there is no field value or doc attribute in the document. Going forward you’re in better shape. The new view you created shows the new R6 soft deletes which will be purged based on the setting on the last page of the database properties.
