When I choose to search the server for databases to select, not all of them appear. Not sure how to fix this. Any ideas.

I think you will need to check the Show in ‘Open Database’ dialog in databases that you not see in Open Database dialog.
Look at properties of database → Design tab → Show in ‘Open Database’ dialog checkbox.

the servers that will show in the Open db dialog box are those that are in the same Notes Name Network as your home mail server and those for which you already have an icon on your workspace or a bookmark for.
