View Categorized with responses

Hello,

I am bulding a view with reponses documents.

I tried to make the view with some documents only.

Here they are.

Parent : Candidate

Reponse : Language

Reponse : Formation

I would like to create a view that categorize the candidate and for each candidate to categorize the response.

My view at the moment count 3 columns.

Column 1 : (Form name “Language”, “Formation”)

Ascending - Standard - Show Reponses only

  • Show reponse form name OK

Column 2 : (Candidate name)

None - Standard - Show twistie

  • Categorized candidate OK

Column 3 : (Candidate name)

None - Standard

  • Show candidate name OK

Column 4 : (show detail)

None - Standard - Reponses only.

  • Not show anything, I tried to remove reponse only and then it show only for the parent document.

I tried to categorized column1. I will show the detail but not the form name… and detail are show right end of the screen even the columns are very small.

Can someone give me advises to found the solution ?

It’s not completely clear to me what you’re trying to do, but some tips:

  1. If you have response docs tied to parent docs then you cannot additionally categorize those response docs. Therefore, if you want to categorize the response docs, you have to abandon the parent-child hierarchy in the view.

  2. Categories are blind to the parent-child relationship. They only care about the formula/field in that column.

It sounds to me like you want to change column 1 to show the details from the response documents, remove column 2, show the twistie in column 3 and remove column 4. That should indent the responses under the candidate name.
