I have a view called “MachineView / Process” this is populated using the Form “MachineForm / Maintenance”. On the view I have a Action called, “Set Active”. What I am trying to do is use the “Set Active” button / action to change the value of a field called “EquStatus” on the highlighted document in the view, and change the field to the text “Active”. I tried the following formula in the action.
@SetDocField( DocUNID ; “EquStatus” ; “Active”)
But I dont think its getting the actual Doc ID of the highlighted document.
Thanks for all the replys, hmmmm I have tried all suggestions, and they work in the view, but sorry I forgot to mention that I was using this view embedded on a form. It works if you go to the view itself but doesnt seem to work on the embedded view…
This information would have helped out a lot at the beginning. There might be a way with Lotus Script, but if you don’t mind typing in or pasting “Active”, I would suggest that you try the Editable Column. This will work in an embedded view.
If you have more information to change then just the one or two fields then check out the View Editor.
There is only one button on my view, called “Set Active”.
The above code works great if the button was on the form itself and the document was in Edit mode, but I am trying to get this to work with only the highlighted document (Not selected document, eg no tick) in a view, its so the user does not have to go into the form an edit it to manualy set a status to active, they can do it by clicking on the document in the view and clicking on the “Set Active” action.
I have made sure “Evaluate Actions for every document change” is selected on the view.
