Look at the “colour bar” tab of the view properties and select one of the grid options.

This will set the horizontal linesThere is no way to set vertical lines

Wrongo, dude. Give it a try. As long as the view is NOT categorized, you get verticals as well.

The reason for that behaviour should be obvious (and I have to admit being taken aback testing your assertion knowing full well that I’ve got at least one gridded view in production – I did a quick test on a randomly-selected view that happened to be categorized). The vertical gridlines are “blind” and just follow the width definition in the columns. If they are displayed in a categorized view, they will run through the category values as well.

Hi StanWhich version of Notes client / Designer are you using?

I just tested this and i DO NOT get any verticals with this setting

Grid: Style; Solid, Color;

What else needs to be set?

Thanx

It worked in RNext Beta 2 and still works in Notes 6.5.4 and Notes 7 Beta 4. The view must NOT be categorised for it to work.

Well, it doesn’t work in 6.0.3!I’ll check in 6.5.4 and 7 tonight when I get back to my own office 8^)

Yes, it does (I’ve got that installed here as well). Oh – I bet you’re displaying responses in a hierarchy, right? Again, the data won’t stay inside a table when you do that, so Notes won’t draw the lines it just has to cross anyways.

Thanks a lot for your valuable information friends,

Even i tried in R6.5, i couldn’t achieve that for categorized columns.

Thanks again…

Kamal.

I believe I mentioned that it won’t work on categorized view, and why it won’t work.

Subject: Beveled Header is the key

This is a little late, but my testing shows that if the view Header is set to any style other than Beveled, you won’t get the vertical lines. Mystery solved?
