Verisign Certificate invisible?!

Hi,

I need to use one class 1 Verisign Certificate.

I succesfull the procedure with much of eval-certificates from verisign. I have had no problems.

Now I bought an 1 year cert and it sucks.

I import in iexplorer. Export from this one. I also import in Lotus Notes and got a successfull-message.

But: I can’t see anything. No new Internet Certificate. And this is what I need to send E-Mails encrypted and signed.

Who knows this problem and who can tell me whats goes wrong?

Bye

Chris

Subject: Verisign Certificate invisible?!

Hi Chris, I’ve been having this exact same problem too.

Turns out that Verisign’s ‘Subject’ in the class 1 certificate is over 256 characters in my case, and Notes doesn’t support this.

An enhancement request(SPR # EHET5XBSY6 ) has been made to add a warning message when Notes is importing this kind of certificate.

There’s a lot of rubbish in there that’s probably unnecessary. A Thawte certificate has only 2 lines, and works, so I’ll be using that unless Verisign get back to me with a certificate that works.
