Hi,
I was wondering whether the utmost left column (the one which is used to display the unread icon) can be used for displaying custom icons.
Anyone knows?

If memory serves me, you can use an image resource as a view icon, if the formula for the column evaluates to the file name of the image. If the formula evaluates to a number, the standard icons will be used.
I’m not completely sure about this, but you can give it a try.

I might have misunderstood your question. When I read it again, it sounds like you want to display an icon in the selection gutter of the view. If this is what you mean, you can’t do that.
