Hi there, can anybody tell me how to use an type-3-driver in LotusScript to create a connection to DB2? One of our DB2-admins said something about a ZIP-file located on the Domino-server which I have to “access”…but I don’t have the slightest idea, how to do this using script
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Your DB2 admin thinks you want to connect to DB2 via JDBC & Java (not a bad idea imo). There are four types of JDBC drivers:
Type 1: JDBC-ODBC bridge,
Type 2: partial Java driver,
Type 3: pure Java driver for database middleware, and
Type 4: pure Java driver for direct-to-database.

So I’d need to write an java-agent, right? Well, I’ll give it a try, thanks!
