Using Notes client to view email

I have an email enabled application. Is it possible to view an email using the ‘Notes’ client as the viewer. Assume that I have the Universal Id.

Huh? It’s not clear what exactly you’re asking here. Of course an email can be opened from a Notes client - that’s pretty much the purpose of the Notes client. Or are you asking whether a document can be opened directly from a Notes client? The answer to that is yes too - there is a simple technique for creating a mail message which, when opened, directly opens a document in a .nsf.

I have a email enabled application. The application has a lotus notes “id” (universal id) for a specific email. Now, under certain conditions I want the application to display the email message using the Notes Client. Is this possible? If so how? Do I have to use the COM toolkit or the API toolkit?

I would say only if you have NDL file which has the “link” to the lotus notes database, view, and/or document.

I can have that MS Outlook lauch lotus notes to go to where the destination via this “link”.
