Can I use a new mail template (mail8.ntf taken from 8.0.2) in an older version of Notes and/or Domino (8.0.1)?

Hi there,
you can use Later templates than you server version without issue,eg. 8.0.2 template on Domino 8.0 server, but make sure the template goes on the server otherwise log files show errors that your mailfile has a template it does not know about.
Clients, if you use an earlier Client like 7 to access a mailfile with a later template applied, 8.0.2, you will get errors along the way.
So an 8.x Client accessing Domino X server with 8.x template should be fine.
