My Company uses Domino for mail and application and has also implemented LSpace Core and Collaboration 5.01.We have set the Single Logon for the existing Domino and LSpace Core and Collaboration infrastructure .
Now we are trying to add Websphere Portal server and also we need to cover the Single Signon with all these environments. When we generate a key in WAS and try to import it to Domino, it replaced our key generated via Domino itself and then users can not logon to LSpace. So we need to restore a backup of Domino environment.
My question: Can we use 2 keys (one key is Domino’s generated key and the other one Websphere key) in Domino to support this issue ? If no, how can we merge these 2 keys ?
Subject: Using more than 2 key in one Domino domain
To my knowledge, you cannot use more than one key at the same time… it sort of negates the idea of single sign on. However, you should be able to use the key that was generated in Domino for SSO with WAS, as opposed to generating a new on in WAS for SSO with Domino.
Subject: Domino/Websphere/Learning Logon using SSO
Thank you for your response.
My post was refering to use of multiple logons using SSO and not multiple keys.
Are you aware whether it is possible to use
SSO with Domino, Websphere And Learningspace ?
Thoughts would be appreciated
Subject: RE: Domino/Websphere/Learning Logon using SSO
Ray,
I am sure that it is usable with Domino (as of v5) and Websphere (as of v3.5) but I am not sure about learningspace. I was thinking that if you generate the key in Domino, and it works with Domino and Learningspace, then I know that the same key will work in Websphere. I also know that Websphere Portal takes advantage of Sametime, Quickplace, and SSO. So I am assuming of course, but it is logical that they would make SSO work interdependently between the products, is it not?
