We have an internal database for departmental billing, which will show a depterments members and the billing information associate with them. This is viewable via the browser and has an option to convert the data into an “Excel view.”
This view works fine and, in the past, we were able to right click on the page and select teh “Export to Microsoft Excel” which would prompt for the user name and password and then export the data to the Excel spreadsheet.
However, now when the option is selected, the person is not prompted to enter their name and password, but the sign in request is inputed into the Excel spreadsheet, i.e. “User Name,” “Password,” etc.
We were notified that this started occurring several months ago, so we assume this began when the server was upgraded to 6.5.2, from 5.0.12.
Can anyone explain why this is occurring and/or how to correct it?
