Using Desktop Policy to change Notes.ini

What I am trying to accomplish: Create a Desktop policy to change the Notes.ini setting for DSTLaw

My problem: I am not clear on which form I need to open in Designer and where I need to add a field

I read the posting below and also the link inside it, but it does not give much detail for a first timer like myself

I am assuming the following:

I open names.nsf in Designer

I open the form called, “Policy Settings\Desktop Settings | PolicyDesktop”

I add a field to it called “$PrefDSTLaw” and assign it the value I need it changed to

Does the field need to be in a specific spot? Does it need to be editable? Computed?

Any help would be appreciated, even if you have a link to something that explains in detail how to add fields to a policy form

Thanks

The field doesn’t need to be in a specific spot.It can be computed or it can be editable. I would make it editable.

But remember, you must go to the desktop policy setting, and resave the document. Then add the value you want in that new field.

Then don’t forget to also resave the parent doc, the Policy document.

I think you got it.
