Using DB2

Hi, I’m pretty keen on getting DB2 setup and trying the DB2 Access functionality in Domino 7. Wonder if anyone can answer a few questions:

  1. Having tried to get DB trial installed before I had a nightmare. I’m not a DB2 user, have used SQL Server, Oracle in the past but DB2 seems pretty awkward to get installed! Any ideas on a quick and easy DB2 install?

  2. There are about a billion different versions of DB2! Why so many I have no idea! Anyway, if we wanted to develop a system in Domino using DB2 backend, what’s the minimum DB2 version? What would the cost be?

  3. From experience, are you finding it easy to get and set data in DB2 from Domino?
