Way, way back in 2004, guru Ben Langhinrichs posted a solution to the problem of keeping a document’s original creation date when copying it into a new database with document.CopyToDatabase method.http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/46dom.nsf/55c38d716d632d9b8525689b005ba1c0/c03430be64a1570485256e600067027b?OpenDocument&Highlight=0,%24created,unid
I find now that this is only working intermittently. It looks like documents that are being copied without modification inside the agent get the correct date both inside the $Created field, and in the document properties box. However, if you make a change in the document inside the agent that does the copy, then the new document gets the current date/time event though the $Created field is right.
can anyone shed some light please.
