Hi, I’ve been reading up on how to do this on this forum, but am encountering some problems.
I would like to create a Hotspot so that when you click on the word “Menus”, it opens to a specific network folder.
I found instructions on the forum to write it like this:
file://Your/Network/File/Path,
but unfortunately, all I get is a blank, Internet page opening up, instead of our network folder opening up.
If my path is:
mblonshare\shared\lunch_orders\todays_lunch
How exactly do I create the Hotspot?
I am highlighting my word “Menu”, clicking Create, Hotspot, Link Hotspot?
Thank you so much for any help you could provide me.
Regards - Marni

Subject: Using a Hotspot to open a Network Folder
Is this for the web or the Notes client? For the Notes client try this;
@Command([Execute]; “explorer.exe”; “\\server name\folder”)

Hmmm - where do I type that in?It’s for the client.
If I type it in to the Hotspot Link, I get the following message:
@Commands and other UI functions are not allowed in this context
