Users with Reader access can create Memo docs

Hi,

I have users who are set up with Reader access to a shared mailbox. They are experiencing some strange behavior, namely:

(1) They are able to create memo forms when the attribute “Write Public Documents” is checked, but not when the attribute is unchecked. What’s strange about this is that the “Available to Public Access Users” property is unchecked for this Memo form. (Also, aren’t public access restrictions only applicable to users with Depositor or No Access access?)

(2) When this user types up their memo and sends, they get a message that “You are not authorized to perform this operation”, which makes sense. What doesn’t make sense is that the memo is sent out before this check is executed, so they are able to send memos after all!

Anybody else experience these kinds of problems? Are these Lotus bugs? Any light you can shed is appreciated. If you need any more info, just let me know.

Thanks in advance.
