Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had any commments on this issue.
I have several users who complain that Lotus Notes is too difficult to work with when replying or forwarding to a message that has lots of message history.
In other words, there are several items in a threaded message. Let’s just say that the message has been forwarded or replied to a group of 10 people about 7 or 8 times.
The guy at the end of the line who wants to make a final comment on this thread decides that he wants to modify or edit the message history. He doesn’t want to include redundant comments by other users.
He wants to selectively choose what will show up in the message history.
It is possible to select certain history threads and delete them, but many users complain that this is simply too difficult to do.
Usually, when they try to select a specific history thread, all of the message history will be selected.
This causes frustration.
I wonder what work arounds are available. I’ve had this issue myself and also found it annoying, so surely someone else has dealt with it.
Incidentally, I’ve noticed that in later versions of R6 that there is a “reply with Internet Style History” option.
Is this the magic solution to our problem?
Thanks.
