We are finding that a lot of users view indexes are not being updated when they should. We have received several calls of users not seeing all their documents in the inbox or sent or all docs, etc and when we look using Full Admin Access we see them just fine. The fix ends up being having the user do a Shift-F9 to rebuild the view index. However it seems that something is wrong if these are not being automatically rebuilt when new mail arrives, etc. Is there anything we can check to see why the update task is not doing its job?
Our servers are at 7.0.2 on Solaris and the clients range from 6.5.2 to 7.0.2. However we are not sure if this is Solaris dependent.
Also one oddity that we are finding when running “show stat update” results in the server console, the Update.PendingList.NextDueTime is in the past and not in the future. What does this value mean?
We have increased our number of update tasks to two per Domino server.
