We have recently been experiencing issues when adding users to a group in the NAB. We will add user ‘A’ to a group specific to a DB (happens for all types of groups, admin,editor,reader,etc…). I will make the addition on a copy of our NAB at my location, replicate change to both the HUB and location that user(s) is located. However even after that has happened the user will not be able to access the group ‘access denied’ unless they restart notes. But even then they are not always guaranteed access to that db later. It appears that the user then is removed from the group. This does not always happen, nor does it always happen @ same location w/ same DB, or same user(s).

Are you exceeding the 64K limit on the field? If so, reduce the size of the group and make subgroups.
I have very good routines that I “mooched” from the webReg.nsf database in the sandbox that automate that process. If you want, I can send you some code.

okay, i was incorrect in my original post. The issue is that the user is added to the group in the NAB @ a location other then the location of the user & DB. After a replication w/ that location (& Hub) the user then does appear in the required group, which does have correct rights on the ACL. However the user is still not able to access the DB for a extended period of time (generally overnight) unless they re-authenticate to notes, sometimes even delete a local cache file. But if the change to the group in the NAB is made @ the same location as the DB, access is instant for the user.
Now this is not something the happens 100% of the time, or to the same DB’s/or @ same locations. Is there some sort of task that runs when groups are updated on other servers then rep’d over to a location that they are not given the same priority as when they are added @ that location? Notes.ini setting perhaps? Keep in mind that these locations are all at a equal level as far as security is concerned, and all additions are being performed by administrators
