Username Field Legal characters

Hello,

We have a client who has in the the username field a name similar to “ad1\kb08809”, used for some sso web stuff. Another program is picking this name to send mail to, and Notes seems to strip the "" out and sends it to “ad1kb08809”, which is not a valid address. Is there a way to keep Notes from stripping the "" out? I know in the formula language you would put a "" in front of it, but is that the same thing that is hjappening here? That is not really an option.

any ideas?

Thanks,

Robert

Unfortunately - You must include an extra backslash '' in order to preserve the character. That is why I always make sure that I have an Input Translation that saves the data correctly (with an extra backslash if needed). You could then have a CFD field that shows the field-value with only a single '' for the user.
