We are having a problem where sessions are literally moving from one computer to another. We are doing a training where multiple people are logged in the username/session changes intermittently on a computer to another user’s account that is currently logged in.
This is with xPages and 8.5. It’s happened on 2 different servers. It appears everything changes - username and session scopes.
We are not sure if it’s something unique with the network - but I have no idea how that would matter. It’s not computer specific as it’s happened on numerous computers.
I haven’t had a chance to research much more in detail. We have not figured out exactly it happens or how often - but it definetly does happen.
Has anyone experienced something like this?
It is very troubling as there should be absolutely no way for this to occur.
Any help or guidance is much appreciated.
Subject: User sessions switching computers
The way we deal with this is we setup roaming profile for users and and installing the multi user client on each machine. That allow for any user to log in and launch notes configure and it is working out great for us…
Subject: Domino - not the same computer
The problem is not client based - it is web based. And the users are logged in on separate computers.
What is happening is really unbelievable. I will be logged in as myself and run a report/save a form, whatever… and my login actually changes to another person on another computer in the room.
The concept of a authenticated user session somehow moving from one computer to another is something that really scares me. Somehow Domino is getting messed up and switching sessions.
I would never have believed it if I did not see it with my own two eyes.
I will try and get some more detail tomorrow on this - I am in the airport right now and can’t really test it.
