User sent mail accidentally to unintentionded recepient!

Hello,I bumped into a VERY strange incident today. One of our users sent a mail to all our employees using one of our mailing lists address groups on a domino server address book. This is a mail-only group. The message which was intended to our staff ONLY was delivered UNINTENTIONALLY to one recepient outside our company!!! This recepient is listed in the users personal address book. I checked the users mail box Sent Messages folder and there was only the one message that was intended to our staff. It’s recepient address contained only the group it should (our employees). Server logs say that there was a message delivered to this outside address at same time that the messages were delivered to our employees BUT the message ID is different and the message size is 3kb smaller.

I also found this at the sent messages document properties Recepients field:

Field Name: Recipients

Data Type: Text List

Data Length: 35 bytes

Seq Num: 1

Dup Item ID: 0

Field Flags: SUMMARY

first.last@company.com

This was the unintentioned recepients e-mail address. All other sent to,copy, bcc, etc fields contained the right address group name only.

Since this is a very dangerous “behaviour” I need to find out urgently what causet this.

Hope someone here can help.

Thanks

-Miguel

Subject: User sent mail accidentally to unintentionded recepient!!!

This recepient is listed in the users personal address book.<<<…In a group of the same name as the server based group? or just as an individual contact?

I checked the users mail box Sent Messages folder and there was only the one message that was intended to our staff. It’s recepient address contained only the group it should (our employees).<<<

…Does the sender have this exact group name in his personal address book?

Server logs say that there was a message delivered to this outside address at same time that the messages were delivered to our employees BUT the message ID is different and the message size is 3kb smaller.<<<

…If message ID is different, this is not the same message even though it appears in the log right in the middle of the mass mailing log entries.
