While I deselect play sound option from file-- preference-- user preference – mail – general
It automatically going to select by default when i restarts notes client
Cleared Cache file but no results.
if any one has solution then please provide it

Subject: User preference not going to change
The likely issue is that you have a policy assigned to that user. This is changing the setting as you start Lotus Notes.
Check the Desktop Policy > Perferences > MAIL and NEWS
At the bottom there is Show POP UP and Play sound. Check and see if this is assigned a settings. If this is so then you would have to change the policy or assign a different one to the user.

I m not able to logged in with my user so i m posting through another user.
I have removed this user from policy then also the setting comes again.
On user property in admin tab it shows no policies
but still the option is not going to disabled
