User not listed in domino directory a fix

I’ve never been able to fix this before short of deleting the users and re-installing them from scratch.

I finally got one to repair by

1 change the shortname and front of the email address to be the same. I first changed them both to “zzz” and then back to the proper name to make sure it was written.

  1. I replaced the database design with Domino Web Mail and then Make to a regular mail template.

  2. I used the updall -T $user command mentioned in many of the other posts.

4 did a tell router quit

5 deleted all the *.box files

6 restarted the router

Sent some test mail and it worked. I have my doubts that this will work everytime, for myself or anyone else, but hopefully it helps some of the people some of the time.
