Hi
We’ve had user here with a slightly unusual first name (let’s call him zebedee).
He’s been giving out his email address as zebedee@domain.com and everything’s been fine (although he wasn’t meant to).
But now we’ve hired another zebedee the name isn’t unique.
We want the email address to continue working, and we don’t want to change the new zebedee’s name on the system.
Is there any way of telling the server to route mail for zebedee@domain.com to the first user, and not return a delivery failure?
Cheers
Dan

In zebedee(original)'s person document add the entry zebedee@domain.com.The reason it works is probabaly because on the configuration/messaging/messaging settings/basicsTab you have exhuastive lookup enabled.
If you have several users called florence you could enable one of them the same way.

Thanks for the reply
Where do I add the entry zebedee@domain.com ?
As one of his user names? His email address should still be his full name, not the shortened version

Person document - short name/UserID field.
A user can have a number of alias smtp email addresses - they’ll all go here.
