Hello!
This is pretty simple… we have only one NAB that can contain groups, and another that has users. Can I put the users in the 2nd NAB in the groups in the 1st NAB and expect them to authenticate?
Thanks, in advance!

Subject: User in one NAB; Group in other NAB. Should it work?
Sure.Do you want to use the groups only in the ACL?

Hello!
Yes. No mail routing, no Notes ID’s… strictly web authentication.
Thanks!

I tried to find the documentation on this but could not. I remember doing this several years ago (and my mind is a little foggy on this, but) I believe for authentication the names can appear in any Directory listed in Directory Assistance, however, the group must reside in the primary server Directory (names.nsf). I also seem to recolect that this is only for authentication. This may have changed, but back in R4 - R5 I believe this is how it worked.
I did a quick search of the help DB’s in ND7 but could not find any reference to this.

Hi Steve,
so just put the user in the Group and put the group in the ACL.Then you are ready.
