I can archive using my administrator id on her mailfiles to archive documents.
She is an ACL manager of both her archive and her mail file.
She can open her archive and view documents from her mailfile.
If she selects a document (we tried different documents) and does an Actions\Archive\Archive Selected Documents, she is able to select the archive (only one listed) and upon selection an error returns stating “you are not authorized to perform that operation”
any ideas?
TIA,

Subject: user in manager in the ACLs but cannot manually archive
Archive does 3 things:
-
Copies the selected documents
-
Pastes the documents into the archive database
-
Deletes selected documents from non-archive database
If you look at the bottom left of your Notes Client, you will see the tasks running…What task does it stop on? Perhaps she can’t delete from the non-archive database…Maybe she can’t paste documents into the archive database…
Subject: RE: user in manager in the ACLs but cannot manually archive
I went to her workstation and did all 3 above, copy, paste, delete using her user id.
I look at the status bar for the Menu\Archive\Archive Selected Documents and see:
Archiving: User Name
Archiving: Selecting Documents
Archiving: Copying Documents
Archiving: Creating Log DB
Archiving: done. 0 docs archived, 0 docs deleted, 0 docs truncated

Subject: RE: user in manager in the ACLs but cannot manually archive
I’m having the same problems with one of my users here. She is trying to archive her boss’ mail (server based mailfile and server based archive) and gets the “you are not authorized” message… She is a manager on both archive and mailfile. Help!
Subject: user in manager in the ACLs but cannot manually archive SOLVED
The policy had specified to log the archiving activity in a separate db.
That db did not exist.
I unchecked the logging in the policy (all it tells you is when archiving takes place), removed the archive logs and one of my user’s is able to archive. The other I’m waiting to hear back from
hope this helps,
