This is about the “Switch Id” option we have in notes clients.
Can we switch to an id belonging to a different server?
I have not tried this yet due to some constraints, but would like to hear something on this if anyone has tried this.

Yes, you can switch to an ID on a different server. There are a couple of issues if you just do a File>Security>Switch ID , though. The notes location document is still pointed at the original user’s home server and mailfile, so when the client tries to check for new mail, this shows up in the server log as someone trying to access a file/server they can’t access.
The better solution is to set up a separate location document for each ID file, selecting the ID file on the Advanced tab. Then switch between locations to switch IDs.
