I have a user id and password to an nsf. I can open the nsf but my question is:1.Can I remove the encryption so that I do not have to use the id?
2.Also if the are encrypted emails within the nsf how do I spot them and remove the encryption.
thanks

Subject: yes
you can remove the encryption using the ID that encrypted it. Just go to database properties, encryption settings and change it to Do Not locally encrypt this database. as for individually encrypted documents, it depends how they were originally encrypted. You could create a view to display any documents that were encrypted via Lotus Notes mail:
SELECT Encrypt = “1”
To decrypt them you could fwd them to yourself unencrypted. Not sure if there is a way to unencrypt them (never done it) but if you do a search in this forum you can probably find out.
Subject: Encrypt = “1”
Thank you for the response. very useful. now when I try to enter the number 1 it will not allow me. Is the trick to make that change?
Thank you.
