I have a user (Notes 8.5.1) who receives an error message window (title = IBM Lotus Notes) showing “#0C:E9” only with no text or explanation. This happens when she tries to forward an e-mail newsletter from americanbanker.com. I can’t find any info on #0C:E9 anywhere.
She originally received this error in Notes 8.5. I upgraded her to 8.5.1 but the problem still exists. My e-mail server is 8.5 (upgrading soon to 8.5.1) and I have upgraded my admin client to 8.5.1. I upgraded her hoping that might solve the problem but it didn’t.
We just saw this while trying to open a message from Jet Blue. I had the user kill cache.NDK, but that didn’t help. However, I can open the email on my machine, which tells me that it’s obviously local to that user.
General question to the world: Why isn’t IBM checking and responding to this forum?
One of our user is getting the same thing and the message is from JetBlue Reservations. I didn’t find about this error…#0C:E9. Any fix that you know of…User can read/forward this message from iNotes.
Subject: This is a known issue reported in SPR JMEA84FVG6
This issue happens with Jet Blue reservations because of some apparent malformed HTML coding in the reservation e-mail. One workaround is to disable the embedded browser in Notes when forwarding or opening the message.
The cause seems to be with the loading of the barcode at the top of the reseravation page.
One workaround is to add the following notes.ini parameter to any Notes Client that touches the e-mail:
