User.dic upgrades to ND6.5?

We will be upgrading to ND6.5.2 from 5.0.8. Will the user.dic retain it’s entries? Also, what about the smart icon preferences across the top? Will they remain in the same place?

Well, the SmartIcons are gone altogether. The new toolbar buttons are a little different. The old SmartIcons should be imported (or save to .smi and imported that way), but the toolbars are “liquid” now – the user can drag them all over the place, or float them as tool palettes – so the old settings don’t mean much anymore.
