I have a user that has the 7.0.2 client, and he is unable to add a signature to his emails. When the goes to Tools, there is no Preferences option. Anyone ever saw this before? I created this user just like I have everyone in the past, and I looked the his database ACL and he has full rights as a Person to it just like everyone else’s is.
Subject: User can’t add a signature
Make a local copy of user’s mail box and in the Inbox folder, check the hidewhen condition for the Tools-Preferences button which will be like this:
@If(@TextToNumber(@Version) < 172; @True; @False)
(for version 6.5). Instead of 172, there should be another number as your are using 7.0.2.
Create an agent with @Prompt([OK]; @Text(@TextToNumber(@Version))).
Check the return value with the value in the Hidewhen condition. See if this makes any difference for which you may have to replace the design again.

Wow Nallanie! I have no idea what you just said, LOL! I’m not a Lotus Guru or Admin, I just help troubleshoot simple problems.
Subject: User can’t add a signature
The problem is that the mail database is v7 and the user software is v6

Try replacing the design of the database in case it hasn’t created properly
