Use the notes Client as a simple PoP 3 client

Our team would like to use the Notes Mail client to connect to non-Domino servers to secure mail in local mail nsf. I have used to wizard but nothing seems to work and I have found very little documentation to support this. Can someone point me in the direction that I could get some clarification? I jest keep getting a simple PoP 3 error (no explanation).

Why is this so hard!? I appreciate any help!

It should be quite easy… just go to the local address book and click on the New button and pick Account, pick the POP protocal and fill in the form. Thre is a whole section in Notes help titled “Creating or editing Internet mail accounts manually”. It creates an NSF on local and adds it to your workspace with the name you out in Account Name on the form that you open to view the mail. 30 seocds tops.

Have you tried outlook express (sorry) or other app to verify things are OK with the account on the POP side?

Will take a look - Thanks. I am using thunderbird to make sure the server is talking.

All seems good there. I will let you know.
